Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival – Chandigarh/Delhi to Shimla (Approx. 8 hrs drive)

  • Pickup from Chandigarh or Delhi by private taxi/tempo traveller.

  • Scenic drive through foothills of Himalayas.

  • Reach Shimla by evening and check into hotel.

  • Evening at leisure: walk along Mall Road, visit Christ Church, and enjoy local cafes.

  • Overnight stay in Shimla.

Day 2: Shimla to Kalpa (Approx. 8–9 hrs drive)

  • Early morning departure towards Kalpa via Sarahan.

  • Enroute visit Sarahan Bhimakali Temple.

  • Reach Kalpa, a quiet village famous for apple orchards and views of the Kinner Kailash peaks.

  • Check-in at hotel/homestay.

  • Evening free to explore the village and enjoy sunset views.

  • Dinner & overnight stay in Kalpa.

Day 3: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo (Approx. 8 hrs drive)

  • After breakfast, depart for Nako.

  • Visit Nako Lake and the small monastery nearby.

  • Continue journey towards Tabo.

  • Visit the ancient Tabo Monastery (over 1000 years old), often called the “Ajanta of the Himalayas” for its murals.

Day 4: Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza (Approx. 5 hrs drive)

Day 6: Kaza to Chandratal Lake (Approx. 6–7 hrs drive)

  • After breakfast, depart for Chandratal via Kunzum Pass.

  • Arrive at Chandratal Lake (Moon Lake) – famous for its changing shades and starry night skies.

  • Overnight stay at a campsite near Chandratal (luxury tents available).

Day 7: Chandratal – Manali (Approx. 6 hrs drive)

  • Drive towards Manali via Atal Tunnel / Rohtang Pass (depending on accessibility).
